Countdown to the Future was an installation for TÜV Rheinland at "Nacht der Technik 2017", a trade fair where different companies around Cologne provide the citizens with an insight into
new technologies.
My Role: Exhibition Design planning and creation
Video creation: Kaon Kim, Angelica Padilla, Johanna Rohrer

Overview
Solution
We created a media installation for TÜV Rheinland which covered several different topics of the Industry 4.0 by interviewing 12 experts in the field.
Challenges
As an exhibition designer, the main challenge I dealt with was the room. We were given a meeting room and I needed to redress it so visitors didn't realize it was a business room. I learned a lot about how to deal with technical limitation and how important lighting is.
The room was divided into two rooms. One where people could watch the video and have an overview of the topic. One with iPad stands, where visitors could dig deeper into the content and watch full interviews.
The iPad stands consisted of two iPads on each side and a cutout on the other sides which offered ambient lighting and unified the two rooms together by the light color.
Process

1. Evaluate floor plan and decide where and how to present the information
2. Sketch models
3. Build stands and test them

4. Transport and install
